Hello, and thank you for viewing this thread.

 Please take the time, as much as it as you need, to read the entire thread if you are new. Patience are crucial to understand the knowledge which you will arrive at.

This is not here to impose upon your will, or your experience(s) of life, it is here, as a guide, here only to help people find their own truth.

I hope this serves as a tool to allow you to develop the methods of extracting information to give rise to a meaning from within yourself.

I've recently decided to rename this thread to Cymatics, rather than to Sacred Sounds.

The proverbial " Holy Grail " of Frequencies and their specific functions

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Few ancient cultures around the world have known what American and European scientists are now just discovering within the last 20 years. Sound is exactly like light, it travels within waves that can be modulated and filtered. But most importantly, much like the tiny amount of the light spectrum the human eye has been tuned to read-in on, our ear's have only been tuned in to a range of frequencies. The range of human hearing is generally considered to be 20 Hz to 20 kHz, but it is far more sensitive to sounds between 1 kHz and 4 kHz.

Much like the way our hearing has been fine tuned to sounds around 1 and 4 kHz, major electrical centers of our bodies are also tuned in to specific ranges of frequencies. These frequencies create, and ultimately invoke powerful emotions within the listener.

Drawing a perfect harmony into a tension to create a new sound scape for the listeners / participators down further into chords that draw the attention, and back into a harmony and conclusion. This is ancient knowledge that has been passed down through thousands if not millions of generations.

In this last paragraph before posting the rest of the information, I'd much appreciate it if you would read this introduction as the knowledge here within can have much negative consequence if used incorrectly, and by negative I mean the destruction of the vibe's another person might have worked to achieve that played before you. Though, sometimes it is the only way to get the results you're looking for, is to completely kill the vibes of a set before yours, especially if you can't flow into it.

The first and most important is to know how humans respond to musical harmonies. Have you ever noticed how some songs move you while, others just leave you hanging ? Here's why:

The perfect octave: For simplification C major and C minor are depicted.

C

C

This elicits a feeling of rest. It is a union of energy, male and female coming into a new wholeness of expression. It is the inking of poles for a higher and more balanced expression.

The Fifth

G

C

This will stimulate the feelings of movement and power. It can awaken feelings of new life coming forth. It is the power of the microcosm and of rebirth within it.

The Third

E
C

The third is an interval that is simple and uncluttered when used, it leaves room for some embellishment by the individual. It awakens feelings of compatibility and the beginning of resonance.

The Fourth

F
C

This is a dyad that announces something new, it awakens feelings of movement and hints of an entrance. It can also awaken feelings of being controlled. It touches the heart and rings within it, and that can make some people feel uneasy.

The Seventh

B

C

The seventh awakens feelings of distance and the need for resolution. It opens feelings of anticipation and drama, of something being incomplete and unresolved. It can be used to hint at a new sense of direction or a new opening.

The Minor Third ( This one is good for all you darker sounding producers )

E-Flat
C

This is the interval of sadness and depression. It touches the lower emotional responses and hints at indecision, vagueness, and lack of direction. It implies that disharmony is about to unfold, even though it hasn't yet. It stimulates that vague sense of doom, and foreshadows failure or disharmony.

The Minor Seventh

B-Flat

C

This interval can be used to awaken feelings of discord and drama. It stimulates a sense of friction. There is a feeling of incompleteness that comes with it. It is a thresh-hold tone that can be used to awaken feelings of loneliness and distance. It creates the feeling that new and unexpected doors are about to open.

The Major Chord

C

G
E
C

This chord stimulates feelings of Joy and completeness. It implies movement and lack of inhibition. Positive, resolving, and uplifting. It promotes feelings of fulfillment and potential

The Minor Chord

C

G
E-Flat
C

The minor chord is Earthing to the energies. It brings the experience down to a level to which the individual can respond. It can be used for feelings of gloom, and sadness. It draws the listener into a greater sympathetic OR empathetic participation in the experience.

The Augmented Chord

C

G-Sharp
E
C

The augmented chord builds a sense of uncertainty in the listener. It activates feelings of uneasiness without anything substantial to base it upon. It can be used to increase tension. It also hints at events moving even further than originally anticipated.

The Diminished Chord

C

G-Flat
E
C

The diminished chord can also be used to create tension and excitement. It draws the action closer to the listener, as if to hint at something impending ( like skull crushing flanged bass ). It creates a feeling of strain, and a kind of ethereal anticipation of new or renewed activity.

Music is a tremendous aid to the achievement of altered states of consciousness. It can be used to help evoke associations, memories, and thoughts associated with imagery. It can be used to awaken new creativity and is a reinforcement of a symbolic association with the journey of life. It is of great importance in all ritual aspects.

This is why those of the more esoteric traditions were schooled in music and could play some musical instrument. Each society had its own key instrument such as Brazil, it was the Berimba. The harp was the primary instrument in the Teutonic, Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Icelandic traditions. The lyre was associated with the Greek bards, but even they were distinguished from the Greek Mastered who played the Kithara.

Musical instruments fall into one of four category, Stings, Wind, Percussion, and Keyboard. The following instruments are by no means easy to play, but they have great applicability to the magic of story telling

This is the system of Chakra . Which do not only apply to the human, but infinitely through out the entire universe and multiverse and omniverse.

In the beginning there was no-thing, ALL was Void of Time and Space, with the beginning of time and space, vibration emanated into existence and thus was the beginning of ALL.

Within the fabric of time and space became vibration, and as the vibrations were thrust out farther and farther into the nothing these atoms of time and space began to re-arrange.

As Above, So Below.
480 Hz--8--C 480 Hz
448 Hz--7--B 448 Hz
341 Hz--6--A 341 Hz
320 Hz--5--G 320 Hz
315 Hz--4--F 315 Hz
273 Hz--3--E 273 Hz
256 Hz--2--D 256 Hz
108 Hz--1--C 108 Hz

--8--
480.0 Hz : Crown Chakra
448.0 Hz : Third Eye
341.0 Hz : Heart Chakra
320.0 Hz : Solar Plexus Chakra
315.0 Hz : Diaphragm Chakra
273.0 Hz : Transpersonal Chakra
256.0 Hz : Root Chakra
108.0 Hz : Earth Connection
--8--

108 Hz--1--C 108 Hz
256 Hz--2--D 256 Hz
273 Hz--3--E 273 Hz
315 Hz--4--F 315 Hz
320 Hz--5--G 320 Hz
341 Hz--6--A 341 Hz
448 Hz--7--B 448 Hz
480 Hz--8--C 480 Hz

The following Scale will represent the above scale in relation to the 7 Chakra. The 8th represents infinity, the spiritual and physical plane, marked as white. A description of the attributes, color, healing properties, note, and what they sound like are below.

The fact that these numerical patterns can be used as vibrational frequencies was confirmed when it was discovered that the frequency of 528hz is used in the restoration of DNA. It has a powerful effect upon the water molecules that support the DNA helix.
The Six Solfeggio Frequencies are:

SOUL STAR (8)
High C ( OM )
The part of soul linked to matter; true spiritual essence. Building the body of Light, key to burning away negative thought forms that hinder physical and spiritual health

CROWN
(Pineal)B (Ti / OM ) (ee) Consciousness, inspiration. Soothing to nerves, stress, confusion, neurosis, insomnia, skeletal problems.
MI - 528 Hz - relates to crown chakra. Dr Mirahorian suggests an association with DNA integrity, transformation and Miracles and relates to crown chakra; The regular "C" that we all know of in this culture (which is from the diatonic scale of do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do) is not the 528 Hz frequency "C". A regular "C" vibrates at a frequency of 512 Hz. The "C" of 528 Hz used for DNA repair is part of an ancient scale called the Solfeggio Scale.

BROW
(Pituitary)A (La / Aum / OM) (ih / ee) Third Eye, Clairvoyance, spirituality. Purifier (blood), obsessions, coagulant, sinuses, headaches, stroke afflictions.
LA bii reatum 852 Hz (Right Pillar of the Tree) - associated with a pure love frequency: unconditional love and returning to Spiritual Order "

THROAT
(Thyroid)G (Sol / Ham) (a / ah)Clairaudance, cooling, relaxing Throat, Fevers, asthma, lungs, thyroid, antiseptic stimulation.
SOL ve polluti 741 Hz (Left Pillar of the Tree) - associated with intuitive states, non linear knowing.

HEART
(Thymus)F (Fa / Yam) (ay) Love/Healing, balance, Akashic memory. Heart trouble, lungs, ulcers, hyper-tension, blood/circulation
FA muli tuorum 639 Hz (Center Pillar of the Tree) - associated with whole brain quadrant interconnectedness.

SOLAR PLEXUS
(Adrenals)E (Mi / Ram ) (aw / ah) Inspiration, intellect, wisdom, psychicism. Digestion, headaches, adrenals
MI ra gestorum 528 Hz (Right Pillar of the Tree) The third note, frequency 528, relates to the note MI on the scale and derives from the phrase "MI-ra gestorum" in Latin meaning "miracle." Stunningly, this is the exact frequency used by genetic biochemists to repair broken DNA - the genetic blueprint upon which life is based!

SPLEEN
(Adrenals/Liver)D (Re / Vam ) (oh) Creativity, reserve energy. Muscles, reproduction, detoxifying, emotional balance, sexuality
RE sonare fibris 417 Hz (Left Pillar of the Tree) - associated with breaking up crystalized emotional patterns. The second tone, "RE" - short for "resonare fibris" or resonance - also correlates mathematically to 144,000.

ROOT
(Gonads/Ovaries)Middle C (DO / Lam) (ooo) Vitality, kundalini, life force. Circulation, low blood pressure, colds and shock.
UT queant 396 Hz (Center Pillar of the Tree) - associated with releasing emotional patterns "UT quent laxis," is defined in Webster's Dictionary as "the Gamut of dramatic emotion from grief to joy," and "the whole series of recognized musical notes." It has a frequency of 396 cycles per second, and is also associated with a "magnetic field strength equal to 105 power gauss," or 100,000.

Here’s an Ancient formula for healing meditation;

0.1 Hz - 9999 Hz below ;
Documented Theoretical Frequencies, from various resources.

Rhythm

1 (1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4.)
2 (1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4.)
3 (1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4.)
4 (1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4.)
...
this can be mainly applied to mastering for drum loops or leads. It all depends on how many times you want to repeat a lead synth, or bassline.

Say for instance you have a track that begins with 2 / 4 time. Your drums will come in

1 (1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4.) *bass*
2 (1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4.) *build up synth / rise / fall / breakdown ... etc*
3 (1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4.) *bass variation*
4 (1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4.) *breakdown*
return
(5) 1 (1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4.) *variation*

if this doesn't make sense i can explain it further with progression.

When you have a pad with say 4 tones. lets say E G D and C. You then have a rhythm of 4 chords. You can place different beats on each of these four octaves. As long as you're within your boundaries outlined by the rhythms above you can create and induce tension, grounding, trance, suspense, thrills, chills, separation and so on and so forth.

This can be extended for any range.

(1 2 3 4)
(1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4.)
(1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4.)
(1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4.)
(1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4, 5 2 3 4.)
(1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4, 5 2 3 4, 6 2 3 4.)

(1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4, 5 2 3 4, 6 2 3 4, 7 2 3 4..... 32 2 3 4 )

(a+b)0 = 1
(a+b)1 = 1a + 1b
(a+b)2 = 1a2 +2ab + 1b2
(a+b)3 = 1a3 +3a2b +3b2a + 1b2
(a+b)4 = 1a4 +4a3b +6a2b2 + 4b3a + 1b4

Oh there's a lot more to come. I just couldn't sit there any longer and keep typing hahaa. It took about an hour to do that up.

But whenever I have some free time again ill write up the corresponding Chakra tones and frequencies, and the range of frequencies related to what instruments might play them. Pitch and the correlation between zodiac signs and composers who write in those chord and octave. Progression and Notation. Timbre, Octave, Pitch, and how to exploit them.

Oh, and spell check hahaha

Awesome :D Thanks - I love it because of all the help I get on technical problemo's and how to actually use the technology to make music.

Also. I updated it

Great post Entheogen! Some useful stuff there. I found the last but about rhythms a little confusing though. What do the numbers relate to and what rhythms are you talking about?

I've been doing some work with Sacred sounds myself, I recently performed at a festival as part of a group of people working with spiritually focussed music, sacred frequencies, solfeggio, binaural/isochronic beats etc. Some really powerful stuff.

My path to music has been through technology so I'm still working on the theory side of things, so the music theory above is a nice little guide. I look forward to more :)

The rythm and repeating rythms is in tempo.

1 (1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, 4 2 3 4.)

Music is an art form whose medium is sound. Common elements of music are pitch which governs melody and harmony, rhythm and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation, dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of music vary according to culture and social context. Music ranges from strictly organized compositions and their recreation in performance, through improvisational music to aleatoric forms. Music can be divided into genres and subgenres, although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to individual interpretation, and occasionally controversial. Within the arts, music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art, and auditory art.

don't laugh.. I'm sincerely glad you're typing this up and hope to climb this mountain soon!

The church of objective science doesn't have all the answers buddy ...

subject and object are two sides of 1 coin.

Using the word "hokey" is a cop-out

Call me a skeptic, but I fully agree with Mr. Android here. The simple lack of command over the English language especially leaves me bereft of any desire to pursue any knowledge that the OP might bring to the table. Any basic music theory book will provide you with similar knowledge - albeit not purporting any result of chakra alignment or connection with past lives.

Ok fair enough ...

I do have to admit I didn't read through 99.9% of the description posted because i'm already familiar , more or less, with the concepts presented.

Primarily because of these two books on Harmonics and their effects on the body, mind and nervous system :

http://www.amazon.com/Healing-Sounds-Ha ... 0892819936

http://www.amazon.com/Sonic-Alchemy-Jos ... 501&sr=1-2

... Again , using the word "hokey" is a cop-out ...

IMO... thats like saying THC/ MDMA/ LSD/ DMT experiences have no real meaning.

... Its just a chemical that triggers a bunch of other chemical reactions that you in turn assign value to because you're not a scientist and therefore some type of "hokey" or "woo-woo" freak that doesn't understand reality because you didn't take chemical engineering and thus you're lost in "la la land" or something

I'm not saying to put your skepticism in the grave ...

I guess i'm just trying to emphasize the importance of an immersed and subjective "you never know until you try" experience.

Chanting is an amazing experience and so is being in the center of 4 18" subs booming out waves of subsonic tones ...

Patterns are patterns are patterns ... harmonics are real we all know this.

That is the foundation of the concept. That is what matters most.

In the end ... Effectiveness is the measure of truth.

To each their own :D

Effectiveness is indeed the measure of truth. Science has agreed-upon methods of measuring effectiveness, whereas pseudoscience has anecdote and wishful thinking. Which should I trust more?

No, HOKEY is spreading information about things that have no factual basis in documented scientific information, and passing them off as facts when they are actually unprovable spiritual and experiential beliefs. Like chakras.

I stand by my original labeling of the situation. Its the Aff's job to prove something to be factual, the neg's job is to poke holes in those arguments. Its not my job to show that chakras and crap ARENT real, its a logical fallacy to attempt to do so.

BTW if you want to talk on the "dirty hippie" level I'll do that. I've visited the "other side" a LOT. I've witnessed the fractal underpinnings of the universe, I've telepathically communicated with advanced beings of pure consciousness, and I've merged my ego with God. Not a single fucking time in my journeys did charkras or bodily vibrations or any of that crap ever come up or become apparent. Nothing is that simple, especially "there"

While you may think its hokey, that hokeyness might give some kind of connection to a fan or listener.
I agree with it being hokey that some people think that certain tones affect their chakras and what not, but a lot of people buy into that super spiritual stuff and in my experience those are the people who buy disks rather than downloading or ripping music off.
I dont believe that binaural beats can cure headaches, but SOO many people do. You better believe that the first people to really push binaural sounds for meditation and relaxation made a KILLING.
There has been a huuge market for yoga and other meditation music as well, which is all based around telling the listener that track 7 will take your mind to x place and will do x to your body so you should be doing x stretch.
It might be hokey but it might get you paid.
